Proofpoint in Cordoba, Argentina is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role blends platform engineering with data infrastructure, owning reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain AWS-first cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling that enable data teams to ship high-quality data products quickly and safely.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE, with ≥2 years in data engineering.
• Deep AWS expertise: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, CDK.
• Hands-on with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, S3 lifecycle and security.
• IaC tools: Terraform and/or AWS CDK for production clouds.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab CI.
• Container tech: Docker and ECS/EKS/Kubernetes.
• Observability design: metrics, logs, tracing, alerts for data/platform.
• Clear communication translating ops concerns to trade-offs.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and Athena views.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infra using IaC (Terraform / CDK) for S3, IAM, Glue, and more.
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure SLA and rapid incident response.
• Develop DataOps tooling, templates, and libraries for production pipelines.
• Manage container infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, or Lambda) for ingestion services.
• Operate MWAA/Airflow workflows with upgrades and reliability hardening.
• Drive security with secrets management, least privilege IAM, and network controls.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, and contribute to architecture decisions.
