Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in Córdoba. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and data infrastructure across AWS-based pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will own CI/CD and IaC, build scalable data ingestion and transformation via AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, and improve developer experience for data engineers. Collaboration and mentoring are key components of this role.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering or SRE with data engineering exposure.
• Deep knowledge of AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager).
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, S3.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with containers (Docker) and orchestration (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design and operate observability systems for data and platform services.
• Strong communication skills to translate ops concerns into clear trade-offs.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CDK) including S3, IAM, Glue resources, Athena, VPCs.
• Own the observability stack with metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure SLA and fast incident response.
• Develop and maintain the DataOps platform and self-service tooling for pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingestion services.
• Design and operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) including upgrades.
• Build and maintain Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion.
• Drive security practices across the data platform (Secrets, IAM, network segregation).
• Collaborate with data engineers/scientists/security to translate requirements into scalable infra.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems; mentor junior engineers.
