Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in Córdoba, Argentina. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and the delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities on an AWS-first stack.

You will own CI/CD, IaC, and the data infra, while contributing to Glue, Athena, and S3 data workflows. You will design and operate data pipelines with a strong emphasis on security, monitoring, and developer experience, collaborating with data

Competenze

5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering or SRE, with at least 2 years of data engineering.
Proficient in AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager.

Mansioni

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of data infrastructure.
Build and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC: Terraform or AWS CDK.
Own the observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs and alerts.
Develop and maintain DataOps tooling, templates, and libraries for production pipelines.
Manage container and compute infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
Design and operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA / Airflow, Step Functions).
Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
Enforce security across the data platform: secrets management, least-privilege IAM and network segmentation.
Collaborate with data teams to translate requirements into scalable infra solutions.
Lead incident response and post-mortem-driven improvements.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions.
