Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. You will own the reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first) and CI/CD pipelines.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE, with at least 2 years of data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle/encryption.
• Proficiency with Terraform and/or AWS CDK for managing production cloud environments.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Experience designing observability systems for data/platform services.
• Strong communication skills to translate operations concerns into clear trade-offs.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform and/or CDK).
• Own the observability stack with metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure SLA and fast incident response.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling, templates, and libraries for production-grade pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingestion services.
• Design and operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) with reliability hardening.
• Build and maintain Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion/transformation.
• Enforce security practices (Secrets Manager, IAM least-privilege, network controls).
• Collaborate with data engineers/scientists/security to translate requirements into scalable infra solutions.
• Lead incident response and post-mortem-driven improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers, review code/designs, and contribute to architecture records.
