Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to empower data engineers to ship high-quality data products safely. You’ll design and operate data pipelines using AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, with an emphasis on reducing toil, improving reliability,

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps/platform engineering with at least 2 years data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3 data pipelines.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience and container orchestration.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure SLAs.
• Develop self-service DataOps tooling and templates for data pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and participate in code/design reviews.
