Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to empower data engineers to ship data products faster and safely. You will design data pipelines with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, ensuring operational excellence, security, and strong developer experience across

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering with data engineering exposure.
• Deep AWS experience across S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS.
• Proficiency with Terraform and/or AWS CDK for prod cloud environments.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS, Kubernetes).
• Ability to design observability (metrics, logs, tracing) for data services.
• Excellent communication to explain trade-offs to tech and non-tech.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue/ETL jobs.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, CDK).
• Own observability stack for data pipelines with metrics and alerts.
• Develop DataOps tooling and self-service data pipelines.
• Manage container infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow environments (MWAA, Airflow, Step Functions).
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestions.
• Enforce security and least-privilege access across platforms.
• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and security teams.
• Lead incident response and mentor junior engineers.
