Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina, is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of systems powering data pipelines and analytics, building cloud infrastructure with AWS-first strategy and CI/CD tooling to speed safe delivery.

You will work across Terraform/AWS CDK, Glue, Athena, S3, and MWAA, shaping observability, security, and scalable pipelines while mentoring engineers and driving incident response

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, S3 lifecycle, encryption, events.
• Proficiency with IaC tools Terraform and/or AWS CDK for managing production cloud environments.
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI or equivalent.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker) and orchestration (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design and operate observability systems (metrics, logging, distributed tracing, alerting).
• Strong communication skills to articulate engineering trade-offs to diverse audiences.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, AWS CDK) covering S3, IAM, Glue, Athena, VPCs.
• Own the observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs, and alerts to ensure SLA and fast incident response.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling, templates, and libraries for production-grade pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data ingestion services.
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) including upgrades and scaling.
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion on S3 data lake.
• Drive security practices across the data platform: Secrets Manager, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
