Proofpoint in Córdoba, Argentina, is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building and maintaining cloud infra (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling for high-quality data products.

You will design and operate data pipelines with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, while improving observability, security, and developer experience.

Competenze

5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, with at least 2 years of hands-on data engineering work.
Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/CDK.
Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle/encryption.
Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools - Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
Strong CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
Experience with container technologies (Docker) and container orchestration (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
Proven ability to design observability systems (metrics, logging, tracing) for data & platform services.
Strong communication to translate operational concerns into engineering trade-offs.

Mansioni

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and promotion of data infrastructure.
Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform / CDK).
Own the observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs, and alerts.
Develop and maintain the DataOps self-service tooling and shared libraries.
Manage container and compute infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
Design and operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions).
Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
Drive security practices across the data platform (Secrets Manager, least privilege IAM).
Collaborate with data engineers/scientists/security to deliver scalable solutions.
Lead incident response and post-mortems; mentor junior engineers.
