Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases, collaborating with engineering teams. This hands-on role focuses on database administration, performance, security, and reliability—not Data Engineering.

The candidate should have 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, plus PowerShell or Python, Terraform, Confluent Kafka, AWS RDS and Aurora, and an upper-intermediate English level.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in PowerShell or Python.
• IaC tooling such as Terraform.
• Experience with Kafka (Confluent Kafka) and AWS RDS/Aurora.
• Strong performance tuning and disaster recovery skills.
• Upper‑intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of production databases and ensure peak performance.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Keep databases secure with proper access control and security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on design, tuning, and support.
• Hands-on administration of data systems supporting the website.
• Remain calm under pressure in a highly technical environment.
