AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases. The role focuses on database administration, performance, security, and reliability.

Requirements include 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, PowerShell or Python, Terraform, Confluent Kafka, AWS RDS/Aurora, and upper-intermediate English.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• AWS, especially RDS and Aurora.
• PowerShell or Python programming.
• Terraform as IaC.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration and troubleshooting.
• Performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience with high-availability production systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and ensure performance.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Keep databases secure with access control and security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on design, tuning and support.
• Hands-on administration of data systems supporting the website.
• Stay composed under pressure and handle stressful situations.
