AgileEngine is looking for a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases in collaboration with engineering teams. This hands-on DBA role emphasizes database administration, performance, security, and reliability rather than data engineering.

The role requires 3–4 years of DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, plus skills in PowerShell or Python, Terraform, Confluent Kafka, and AWS RDS/Aurora.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years hands-on DBA experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS RDS/Aurora.
• Scripting with PowerShell or Python.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Kafka administration (Confluent Kafka).
• Strong performance tuning and high-availability planning.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsabilités

• Maintain high availability of production databases and ensure performance.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Secure databases including access controls and security protocols.
• Analyze and tune performance and diagnose complex issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on system design and support.
• Hands-on administration of data systems supporting web platforms.
• Stay composed in high-pressure environments.
