Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high-availability production databases. You will work closely with engineering teams on performance, security, and reliability in a hands-on capacity.

The role requires 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience, expertise in SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, and proficiency with PowerShell or Python, Terraform, Kafka, and AWS RDS. Strong English language skills are expected.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and keep them performing well.
• Plan for disaster recovery with zero data loss in case of disaster.
• Keep database systems secure, including access control and protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on design, performance tuning, and support.
• Operate hands-on in a highly technical environment, managing data systems.
• Stay composed under pressure in stressful situations.
