AgileEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to manage, secure, and tune high‑availability production databases. The role is hands‑on, focusing on administration, performance, security and reliability rather than data engineering.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of hands‑on DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS RDS/Aurora, Terraform, Kafka, and PowerShell or Python, plus upper‑intermediate English.

Formación

• 3–4 years of hands‑on DBA experience required.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL required.
• AWS experience focused on RDS/Aurora required.
• Programming experience in PowerShell or Python required.
• IaC experience with Terraform required.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration required.
• Performance tuning and disaster recovery experience required.
• Upper‑intermediate English level required.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high availability of production databases and ensure performance.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Ensure database security and access control.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineering on design, tuning, and support.
• Operate hands‑on in a highly technical data environment.
• Stay composed under pressure in stressful situations.
