Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics, building cloud infrastructure on AWS, CI/CD tooling, and DevOps capabilities to empower data engineers to ship high-quality data products safely.

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering.
• Hands-on data engineering experience (2+ years) working with data pipelines and analytics.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes).
• Ability to design observability systems for data and platform services.

Mansioni

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workloads and ETL jobs.
• Manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK) for data platforms.
• Own observability: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure reliability and SLAs.
• Develop self-service tooling and templates for data engineers to ship pipelines.
• Oversee containerized data ingestion microservices and orchestration workers.
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions) with reliability hardening.
• Build and maintain Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) across the data lake on S3.
• Enforce security: Secrets Manager, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
