Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first) and CI/CD tooling to empower data engineers.

You will work with Glue, Athena, and S3 to ship scalable data products safely. You will design observability, manage containerized workloads, and participate in incident response, mentoring junior engineers and shaping architecture

Competenze

• 5+ years of DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE experience with data engineering work.
• Strong expertise in AWS core services and data services (Glue, Athena, S3).
• Proficiency with Terraform and AWS CDK for IaC and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience with container tech (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/EKS/K8s).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infra and ETL jobs.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability: metrics, logs, and alerts for data pipelines.
• Develop DataOps tooling and self-service templates for engineers.
• Lead incident response and drive post-mortems to prevent recurrences.
• Mentor junior engineers in DevOps and data engineering practices.
