Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in a hybrid capacity. You will own the reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities on an AWS-first stack.

Build and maintain cloud infra, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to enable data teams to ship high-quality data products quickly and safely. You'll design and operate data pipelines with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, and contribute to data infrastructure improvements

Competenze

5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with data engineering exposure.
Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
Hands-on IaC experience with Terraform and/or AWS CDK for production environments.
Proven CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
Strong observability: metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.

Mansioni

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment of AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform and/or CDK).
Own the observability stack for data pipelines (metrics, logs, alerts) and ensure SLA compliance.
Develop self-service DataOps tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews.
