Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities on AWS, building CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and observability.

You will work across Glue, Athena, S3, and related services to ship high-quality data products while enhancing security and developer experience. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with security teams, and drive improvements in incident

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps/platform engineering or SRE, with data eng work.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS.
• CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
• Own the observability stack for data pipelines (metrics, logs, alerts).
• Develop and maintain the DataOps platform and self-service tooling.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, or Lambda).
• Design and operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow).
• Build AWS Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
• Drive security best practices (Secrets Manager, least-privilege IAM).
• Lead incident response and post-mortem improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in architecture decisions.
