Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own the reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities across AWS Glue, Athena, and S3.

Join a global team building scalable, secure data infrastructure, shaping CI/CD pipelines, Terraform/AWS CDK IaC, and observability tooling to support fast, safe data product delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps/Platform/SRE with data engineering exposure.
• Deep AWS expertise: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS.
• Hands-on with Glue, Athena, and S3 data lake.
• Proficient in Terraform and AWS CDK for IaC.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab CI.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and data infrastructure.
• Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Own the observability stack for data pipelines with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and templates.
• Manage container infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Design and operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions).
• Build and maintain Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale ingestion.
• Drive security practices: Secrets Manager, least-privilege IAM, network segmentation.
• Collaborate with data engineers/scientists to translate requirements.
• Lead incident response and post-mortem improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code/design reviews.
