Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role focuses on reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities on AWS-first infrastructure.

• 5+ years in DevOps/platform engineering or site reliability with data engineering exposure.
• Deep expertise with AWS services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
• Hands-on with Glue, Athena, and S3 data lake.
• Experience with IaC tools: Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience and container orchestration knowledge.
• Proven ability to design observability systems and incident response.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Own observability stack with metrics, logs, alerts for SLA compliance.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and templates.
• Manage container infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, or Lambda).
• Operate MWAA/Airflow workflows, including upgrades and reliability hardening.
• Build and maintain Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion.
• Drive security best practices across the data platform.
• Collaborate with data engineers/scientists and security teams to translate requirements.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct reviews.
