Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automation for desktop and mobile apps while also performing manual testing to validate quality across features. You will build and maintain regression suites, integrate tests into CI/CD, investigate failures, and collaborate with developers and product teams to improve testability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on iOS/Android.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and evaluating their outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts for core app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation against criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, and performance tests.
• Record detailed feature behavior and pass/fail criteria.
• Identify risks to quality and escalate appropriately.
• Collaborate with product to ensure quality across SDLC.
• Collaborate with customer teams to incorporate user feedback.
• Participate in estimation and planning.
• Utilize GitHub to manage automation repos and CI pipelines.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
