Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automated and manual testing for desktop and mobile apps. You will build regression suites, integrate tests into CI/CD, investigate failures, and ensure quality throughout the software lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA automation, strong Playwright/WebdriverIO+Appium experience, and familiarity with AI-assisted QA tools. We offer flexible schedules and USD-based compensation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands‑on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other tests.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails and correlate to bugs.
• Identify and elevate quality risks.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality throughout SDLC.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate feedback in testing strategy.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.
• Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.
