Job summary

Darwoft seeks a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join a modern AI-native engineering team building a transaction platform for M&A processes. You will work with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and other AI agents to accelerate development while maintaining strong software architecture and reliability.

The role focuses on production software, large-scale codebases, and pragmatic decisions in a remote LATAM setting. A hands-on builder mindset and product focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating production software systems.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, system design, debugging, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex codebases.
• Backend or full-stack engineering with modern languages/frameworks.
• Experience building web apps and SaaS products.
• Understanding of APIs, architecture, integrations, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases and production data environments.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, CI/CD, deployments, and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
• Identify technical debt, risks, reliability issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI coding agents extensively.
• Leverage AI agents to explore codebases, design implementations, generate and refactor production code, and accelerate delivery.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Contribute across the application stack and strengthen testing, observability, and production readiness.
