Job summary
Darwoft is hiring a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join a remote-first team building an AI-native SaaS platform for complex M&A workflows. You’ll navigate a large codebase, make architectural decisions, and accelerate delivery with AI coding agents like Claude Code and Codex.
The role emphasizes production software, reliability, and maintainability over ML model work, with ownership of critical systems and a product-oriented mindset. 100% remote in LATAM, contractor-friendly.
Qualifications
- Strong production software experience.
- Excellent fundamentals in architecture, design, debugging, testing, and maintainability.
- Experience with large/complex existing codebases.
- Backend or full-stack with modern languages & frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
- Design and implement new capabilities for a complex SaaS platform.
- Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
- Identify tech debt, risks, and reliability issues.
- Use AI coding agents extensively in development lifecycle.
- Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
- Strengthen automated testing, observability, and production readiness.
- Improve development workflows and tooling.
