Job summary

Darwoft is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer in LATAM for an AI-native, Claude Code/Codex-driven project. You will navigate a large production codebase, architect robust systems, and accelerate delivery with AI agents.

100% remote, contractor engagement, focus on backend/full-stack SaaS platforms and complex M&A workflows. You will work with Claude Code, Codex, and other AI coding agents to design, implement, test, and iterate features, while maintaining high standards for reliability

Qualifications

• Strong production software experience.
• Excellent architecture and system design skills.
• Experience with large or complex codebases.
• Backend or full-stack engineering with modern languages.
• Experience building SaaS and web apps.
• Understanding of APIs, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with cloud, CI/CD, and production ops.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
• Identify debt, risks, reliability issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Leverage AI coding agents throughout development lifecycle.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, workflows.
• Contribute across the stack and improve testing, observability, and reliability.
• Improve development workflows and automation.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across layers.
• Balance speed with long-term maintainability.
• Work with product leadership to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Help the team achieve greater development leverage via AI-assisted engineering.
