Darwoft seeks a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join our AI‑native, Claude Code/Codex driven platform for LATAM. This is a 100% remote contractor role focused on building a modern transaction SaaS with strong engineering fundamentals.

You’ll navigate a large existing codebase, shape architecture, improve reliability, and leverage AI coding agents to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality. You’ll work with a small, high‑impact team and own meaningful technical decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in architecture, design, debugging, and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
• Backend or full‑stack experience with modern languages and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Navigate, understand, and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
• Identify debt, risks, reliability issues, and improvements.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or Copilot extensively in development lifecycle.
• Leverage AI to explore codebases, generate and refactor code, and write tests.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Contribute across the stack and improve testing, observability, and production readiness.
• Improve tooling, automation, and engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot cross‑layer issues and balance speed with quality.
