Darwoft is hiring a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to lead and shape a modern AI-native transaction platform. You will work with Claude Code, Codex, and other AI agents to accelerate development while navigating a large existing codebase and making architectural decisions that balance speed with reliability.

The role emphasizes ownership, product-minded engineering, and hands-on backend/full-stack work in a remote LATAM setting.

Qualifications

• Production software experience is essential.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, system design, debugging, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
• Backend or full-stack skills with modern languages and frameworks.
• Experience building modern web apps and SaaS products.
• Understanding of APIs, architecture, data modeling and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases and production data environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
• Identify technical debt, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Use AI coding agents extensively throughout the lifecycle.
• Leverage AI to explore codebases, design implementations, generate/refactor code, and accelerate delivery.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Contribute across the stack and improve testing, observability, and production readiness.
• Improve development workflows, tooling, automation, and engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot across application, data, and infrastructure layers.
