Job summary

Darwoft, a Latin American technology company, offers a remote-first environment and focuses on human-centered software. This Senior/Staff Software Engineer role is for an AI-native platform in the M&A/LegalTech space, working with Claude Code, Codex, and other AI agents to accelerate development while navigating a large codebase.

You will own architecture, build backend services, improve reliability, lead a small team, and collaborate with product leadership to translate business problems

Qualifications

• Proven track record building and operating production software systems.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, design, debugging, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
• Backend or full-stack engineering with modern languages and frameworks.
• Experience with web apps and SaaS products.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
• Identify debt, risks, and reliability issues and improve them.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI agents throughout development.
• Build backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Contribute across the stack and improve testing, observability, and production readiness.
