Job summary

Darwoft seeks a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to lead production software development for an AI-native platform serving complex M&A workflows. You’ll work in a remote-first, LATAM-focused environment and leverage AI agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Copilot to accelerate delivery.

You’ll own architectural decisions, navigate a large codebase, and drive reliability, testing, and maintainability across backend services and APIs.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building and operating production software systems.
• Excellent fundamentals in architecture, system design, debugging, and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
• Backend or full-stack engineering with modern languages & frameworks.
• Experience building modern web applications and SaaS products.
• Understanding APIs, architecture, integrations, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Relational database experience and production data environments.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, CI/CD, deployments, and production operations.
• Ability to reason through trade-offs and make pragmatic architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Navigate, understand, and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
• Identify technical debt, risks, and reliability issues.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, and similar AI agents throughout development.
• Accelerate delivery with AI-assisted coding while maintaining quality.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Strengthen automated testing, observability, and production readiness.
• Improve development workflows, tooling, and engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across app, data, and infra layers.
