Job summary

Darwoft seeks a Senior/Staff Software Engineer (AI-native) to join a remote LATAM team. You’ll work on a modern transaction platform for complex M&A workflows, using AI agents to dramatically increase development velocity while maintaining strong software architecture and reliability.

You’ll navigate a large codebase, design new capabilities, and collaborate with product leadership to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong production software experience.
• Solid fundamentals in architecture, system design, debugging, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
• Strong backend or full-stack engineering with modern languages and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural and system design decisions as the product scales.
• Identify technical debt, risks, reliability issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot or similar AI agents extensively in development.
• Leverage AI to explore codebases, design implementations, generate/refactor code, debug issues, write tests, and accelerate delivery.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, integrations, and workflows.
• Contribute across the application stack when needed.
• Strengthen automated testing, observability, reliability, and production readiness.
• Improve development workflows, tooling, automation, and engineering practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across application, data, and infrastructure layers.
• Balance speed with quality and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with product leadership to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Help a small team achieve greater development leverage through AI-assisted engineering.
