Darwoft is seeking a Senior / Staff Software Engineer (AI-Native) to join a modern transaction platform. This 100% remote, contractor role focuses on production software and AI-assisted development within an AI-native engineering approach, leveraging Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, and other AI agents.

You will navigate a large existing codebase, make architectural decisions, improve reliability, and drive delivery velocity while maintaining software quality, in a remote-first culture

Formación

• Proven experience building and operating production software systems.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, design, debugging, testing and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
• Backend or full-stack experience with modern languages/frameworks.
• Experience building web apps and SaaS products.
• Understanding of APIs, architecture, integrations, data modeling and distributed systems.

Responsabilidades

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural and system design decisions at scale.
• Identify technical debt and reliability issues; drive improvements.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot or similar AI agents extensively throughout development.
• Leverage AI to explore codebases, design implementations, generate/refactor code, debug, write tests, and accelerate delivery.
• Build and evolve backend services, data models, and workflows.
• Contribute across the stack when needed and improve testing, observability, and production readiness.
