Darwoft is hiring a Senior/Staff Software Engineer for an AI-native, Claude Code/Codex-driven engineering approach. This 100% remote, international contractor role expects deep software craft, ownership of large codebases, and the ability to shape architecture for a modern transaction platform in LATAM.

You’ll work with AI coding agents to accelerate delivery, own core backend/services, and push for reliability and scalable design while balancing speed and quality in a product-focused

Qualifications

• Production software systems experience.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, system design, debugging, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
• Backend or full‑stack engineering in modern languages & frameworks.
• Experience building modern web apps and SaaS products.
• Understanding of APIs, architecture, data modeling, and distributed systems.
• Experience with relational databases and production data environments.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, CI/CD, deployments, and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural and system design decisions at scale.
• Identify technical debt, architectural risks, and reliability improvements.
• Use AI coding agents extensively throughout development lifecycle.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Contribute across the application stack and improve testing, observability, and production readiness.
