Job summary

Darwoft is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join an AI-native, Claude Code/Codex-powered development environment. Work remotely from LATAM as a contractor, crafting production software across a modern transaction platform and AI-assisted tooling, while shaping architecture, reliability, and velocity with a small engineering team.

You'll navigate a large codebase, design new capabilities, and collaborate with product leadership to translate business problems into scalable technical

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating production software systems.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, design, debugging and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex codebases.
• Backend or full-stack with modern languages and frameworks.
• Experience with SaaS web apps and APIs.
• Cloud, CI/CD, and production operations familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large existing production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural and system design decisions as the product scales.
• Identify technical debt and reliability issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, Windsurf, or similar AI coding agents extensively.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Strengthen automated testing, observability, reliability, and production readiness.
