Job summary

Darwoft in LATAM is seeking a Senior / Staff Software Engineer to drive AI-native development for a modern transaction platform. You will navigate a large production codebase, design capabilities, and make architectural decisions while leveraging Claude Code, Codex, and other AI agents to dramatically increase development velocity.

This is a remote, contractor role focused on production software, reliability, and engineering excellence, with a strong product orientation and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Production software experience and ownership of mission-critical systems.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, design, debugging, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience working with large or complex existing codebases.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new capabilities across a complex SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural and system design decisions for scale.
• Identify technical debt, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI agents extensively.
• Build and evolve backend services, APIs, data models, and workflows.
• Strengthen testing, observability, reliability, and production readiness.
