Job summary

Darwoft is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join a LATAM-remote AI-native software platform. You will work with Claude Code, Codex, and other AI agents to design and evolve a large production codebase, build backend services, and improve reliability.

You will contribute to architecture decisions, tackle complex systems, and collaborate with product leadership to translate business problems into technical solutions. This is a contractor-friendly, fully remote, USD-paid role.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building and operating production software systems.
• Strong fundamentals in architecture, system design, debugging, testing, and maintainability.
• Experience with large or complex existing codebases.
• Backend or full-stack expertise with modern languages/frameworks.
• Experience with APIs, data modeling, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and evolve a large production codebase.
• Design and implement new product capabilities across a SaaS platform.
• Make pragmatic architectural decisions as the product scales.
• Identify technical debt, risks, and reliability issues.
• Use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar AI agents extensively.
• Build backend services, APIs, integrations, and data models.
