Qualifications

• PhD or MS in Plant/Animal Breeding, Quantitative or Statistical Genetics, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of advanced breeding technologies, analytics, genomics, and quantitative genetics.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across regions and functions.
• Demonstrated ability to embody Bayer Values in Capability Center leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define vision and multi-year strategy for research acceleration across the early breeding pipeline.
• Set standards for hypothesis-driven design and rapid, decision-ready evidence.
• Shape enabling-technology agenda across accelerated breeding, genomics, phenotyping, analytics, automation, and digital workflows.
• Lead adoption strategy to embed new practices across crops and regions at scale.
• Own impact metrics and steer investment using cycle time, genetic gain, cost, and adoption.
• Provide technical, strategic, and product knowledge to the Capability Center.
• Contribute to Global Breeding strategies and the Long-Range Plan (LRP).
• Engage universities to guide future talent development and systemic talent pipelines.
• Collaborate with L3 leadership across commercial and product supply teams.
• Ensure HS&E, Compliance, DEI, Business Conduct, and Human Rights focus.
