Job summary

PetDesk is seeking a Sr. Support Specialist, Phones for a 100% remote contract based in Latin America, aligned to North American hours. You will handle complex VoIP issues, administer PBX configurations, and extensively document solutions to scale the team.

Responsibilities include diagnosing SIP/VoIP problems, provisioning IP phones across vendors, and maintaining SLA-driven ticketing. Fluent English is required; contractors provide own equipment.

Qualifications

• This role requires 2–4 years of technical VoIP/PBX support with multi-site or enterprise deployments.
• Solid knowledge of SIP, RTP/RTCP, PBX routing/configuration, and VoIP fault modes.
• Working networking fundamentals: subnetting/VLANs, QoS, and packet capture analysis.
• Hands-on IP phones provisioning across multiple vendors.
• Strong written English for client communications and documented ownership of issues.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve SIP/VoIP connectivity issues across 15+ tickets per day.
• Administer and troubleshoot PBX systems at call-flow and trunk levels.
• Remotely diagnose network issues and guide non-technical staff to resolution.
• Provision and configure IP phones for new and existing accounts.
• Manage client tickets daily with SLA adherence and clear written updates.
• Document recurring issues and solutions in the knowledge base.
