Job summary

Atomic HR seeks a Technical SEO Lead for a remote position with a U.S.-based higher education marketing agency. You will lead technical SEO across a portfolio of partner accounts, perform audits, and write developer-ready specs to fix issues.

You will design Claude-based tools and workflows to automate audits, reporting, QA, and content production, and support client success and team efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 in technical SEO, ideally at an agency.
• Proven track record of uncovering high-impact issues and driving fixes.
• Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress, including themes, plugins, redirects, and schema.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Claude, building agents and AI-assisted workflows.
• Clear written communication: write specs for developers and recommendations for clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts and prioritize issues by impact and effort.
• Write dev-ready specs and shepherd fixes through to verification.
• Handle light WordPress tasks: titles, meta descriptions, plugin redirects, and schema.
• Monitor GSC and GA4 for drops, errors, and indexing problems.
• Own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO) and LLM-driven indexing.
• Build scalable SEO systems and Claude-based tools for audits, reporting, and QA.
• Document systems, train the team, and measure time saved and results improved.
