Job summary

Atomic Hr is seeking a Technical SEO Lead to act as the technical SEO expert across a portfolio of higher education partners. You will craft dev-ready specs, drive SEO improvements, and build Claude-based tools to automate audits, reporting, and QA.

You will work with the SEO Lead and support the Executive Director of SEO, owning technical readiness for AI-driven search and scalable processes that improve rankings, traffic, and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO with at least 3 focused on technical SEO
• Proven track record of uncovering high-impact issues and fixing them
• Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush
• Strong WordPress knowledge to spec fixes precisely

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
• Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams, then follow through until fixes are released and verified
• Handle light WordPress implementation: titles, meta descriptions, redirects, and schema using Yoast or Rank Math
• Monitor Search Console and GA4 to catch drops, errors, and indexing problems before clients do
• Own technical readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO): crawler access, structured data, entity optimization
• Design and build Claude-based tools and workflows for audits, reporting, QA
• Build content production systems that convert briefs into near-publish-ready drafts
• Translate team standards into reusable systems for the whole team
• Connect Search Console, GA4, crawl exports, and Ahrefs/Semrush into workflows
• Document each system, train the team, measure time saved or results improved
