Job summary

Atomic Hr seeks a Technical SEO Lead for a fully remote role serving a U.S.-based higher education marketing agency. You will own technical SEO across a portfolio of partner sites, run audits, and write developer-ready specs for fixes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO, ideally at an agency or across multiple sites
• Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush
• Strong knowledge of WordPress, schemas, redirects, and plugin behavior
• Clear written communication; ability to spec fixes for developers
• Advanced experience with Claude, building agents and AI-assisted workflows

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
• Prioritize issues by impact and effort, and defend those calls
• Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams, then follow through until fixes are released and verified
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 to catch drops, errors, and indexing problems
• Build Claude-based tools, agents, and workflows for audits, reporting, QA
• Build content production systems that translate briefs into near-publish-ready drafts
• Document systems and train the team to measure time saved and results improved
