Job summary

Mototech, Inc. seeks a Technical SEO Lead to own technical SEO across a portfolio of higher education partner accounts. You’ll run audits, write developer-ready specs, and ensure fixes go live, while also building Claude-based tools to automate audits, reporting, QA, and content production.

You’ll collaborate with the SEO Lead and Executive Director of SEO from a fully remote setup. The role requires 5+ years in SEO (3+ in technical SEO), strong data-driven decision making, and hands-on

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO
• Track record of uncovering high-impact issues on a site and getting them fixed
• Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush
• Strong working knowledge of WordPress: themes, plugins, redirects, and schema
• Advanced, hands-on experience with Claude for AI-assisted workflows

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts
• Run technical audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links
• Prioritize issues by impact and effort, and defend those calls
• Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams, then follow through until fixes are released
• Handle light WordPress implementation: titles, meta descriptions, plugin-level redirects, and schema
