Job summary
Mototech, Inc. is seeking a Technical SEO Lead to manage a portfolio of higher-education and nonprofit clients. You will drive technical audits, create developer-ready specs, and build Claude-based tools to reduce manual audit work.
This role emphasizes scalable systems and cross-account ownership in a fully remote setup. You will partner with the SEO Lead and Executive Director of SEO, shaping AI-enabled search strategies while ensuring accurate implementation and measurable improvements in
Qualifications
- 5+ years in SEO with at least 3 focused on technical SEO
- Experience across multiple sites or agencies preferred
- Able to write precise, developer-ready specs
- Proven track record of improving rankings and issues prioritization
Responsibilities
- Lead technical SEO across client accounts and drive roadmap
- Run audits: crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal links, Core Web Vitals
- Own AI-ready workflows and Claude-based tooling for audits and QA
- Draft dev-ready specs and verify fixes post-implementation
- Handle WordPress tweaks: titles, meta, redirects, schema (Yoast/Rank Math)
- Monitor Search Console and GA4 to detect drops and indexing problems
- Design scalable systems and processes for the SEO service
- Mentor team and participate in client communications
