Job summary

Mototech, Inc. seeks a Technical SEO Lead for a fully remote role serving a US-based higher education marketing agency. You will steer technical SEO across multiple university and nonprofit partner sites, handling audits, schema, and AI-driven search readiness.

You will also build Claude-based tools to automate audits, QA, and content production. The role requires hands-on experience with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and WordPress, plus strong written communication for developer

Qualifications

5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO.
Track record of uncovering high-impact issues and driving fixes.
Hands-on with Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs or Semrush.
Strong WordPress knowledge for implementing fixes and schema.
Clear written communication: specs for developers and client-facing recommendations.

Responsibilities

Lead technical SEO across client accounts and audits.
Prioritize issues by impact and effort and defend decisions.
Write dev-ready specs and follow fixes through to verification.
Handle WordPress implementations: titles, meta descriptions, redirects, schema.
Monitor Search Console and GA4 to catch drops and indexing issues early.
Build Claude-based tools and workflows for audits, QA, and reporting.
Design scalable systems for the SEO service and knowledge workflows.
Own readiness for AI search (AEO/GEO) with structured data and entity optimization.
