Job summary

Sophilabs, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a marketing-oriented role focused on education. You will own the full data path from ad accounts and CRMs through Adverity into a BigQuery warehouse, with modular dbt/Dataform transformations and Looker Studio reporting.

Reporting to the Data and Analytics Manager, you will build scalable pipelines, ensure data quality, and enable automated reporting for education partners. Remote role with async collaboration and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, ideally in marketing or agency environments.
• Strong SQL with BigQuery experience in transformation, partitioning, and modeling.
• Experience configuring datastreams, transformations, and destinations in Adverity or similar ETL tools.
• Python proficiency for API connections and automation.
• Knowledge of CRM data flows (Salesforce, HubSpot, Slate) and marketing metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion & pipeline architecture—connect API pipelines into Adverity and build scalable pipelines.
• Own CRM integration—maintain reliable CRM connections so lead data flows into the warehouse.
• Own the data warehouse—design schemas, manage partitioning, and optimize storage and costs.
• Own transformation & mapping—build SQL schemas in modular dbt/Dataform pipelines with clear naming.
• Own CI/CD & data segregation—maintain GitHub Actions pipelines for robust releases and data security.
• Enable the reporting layer—create fast Looker Studio views and automated Google Sheets reports.
