Job summary

Sophilabs, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer focused on marketing analytics. You will own end-to-end data flows from paid media and CRM into a centralized warehouse, shaping robust pipelines and dashboards for education and nonprofit clients.

You’ll work with Adverity, BigQuery, and dbt/Dataform, ensuring data quality and scalable reporting while collaborating with a distributed, async-friendly team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience in marketing or agency environments.
• Strong experience configuring datastreams, transformations, and destinations in Adverity or similar ETL platforms.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL with BigQuery transformation, partitioning, and modeling.
• Expertise with dbt or Dataform for modular, version-controlled SQL pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python for custom API connections and pipeline automation.
• Experience with CRM data flows (Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot) and marketing metrics (ROAS, CPA).
• Strong Git and collaborative development workflows, plus multi-client data segregation.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion and pipeline architecture from paid media and CRM into Adverity or equivalents.
• Build and maintain reliable CRM connections to feed the warehouse.
• Design and optimize data warehouse schemas in BigQuery for multi-source marketing data.
• Develop SQL mappings and transformations in dbt/Dataform with clear naming conventions.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and enforce data segregation across clients.
• Create performant data views for Looker Studio dashboards and automated reports.
• Monitor data quality, troubleshoot API breaks, and minimize latency.
