Job summary

Our client is a fast-growing marketing agency serving higher education and nonprofit sectors. The Senior Data Engineer role centers on building scalable data pipelines from ad platforms and CRM into a BigQuery warehouse, with modular dbt/Dataform transformations and Looker Studio reporting.

You will own ingestion, CRM connections, warehouse design, transformations, and CI/CD to support multi-client education campaigns. Remote role with async collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on data engineering, ideally in marketing/agency.
• Strong ETL/ELT experience with marketing data sources.
• Proven SQL expertise and BigQuery modeling experience.
• dbt or Dataform for modular pipelines.
• Python for API connectors and automation.
• CRM data flows (Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot) expertise.
• Marketing metrics knowledge (ROAS, CPA, CAC) and platform schemas.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion & pipeline architecture across paid media and CRM.
• Own CRM integration to ensure lead/enrollment data flows to warehouse.
• Own the data warehouse in BigQuery with efficient schemas and partitioning.
• Own transformation/mapping with dbt/Dataform pipelines and naming conventions.
• Own CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and data segregation across multi-client environments.
• Enable reporting layer with Looker Studio dashboards and automated Sheets reports.
• Monitor data quality, validate pipelines, and troubleshoot data issues end-to-end.
