Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC is hiring a Senior Data Engineer for a remote role focused on marketing analytics for education and nonprofit clients. You will own end-to-end data ingestion, CRM connections, and the data warehouse in BigQuery, while enabling robust Looker Studio reporting and automated sheets for partners.

You will work with Adverity or equivalent ETL tools, dbt/Dataform pipelines, and Python connectors, aiming to deliver scalable, high-quality data.”

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on data engineering experience in marketing or agency environments.
• Experience configuring datastreams, transformations, and destinations in Adverity or comparable ETL platforms (Fivetran, Supermetrics, Funnel).
• Intermediate to advanced SQL with BigQuery transformation, partitioning, and modeling experience.
• Expertise in dbt or Dataform, modular, version-controlled SQL pipelines.
• Python proficiency for custom API connections and automation.
• Experience with CRM data flows and integrations (Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot).
• Strong understanding of marketing metrics (ROAS, CPA, CAC) and paid platform schemas.
• Proficiency with Git and multi-client data environments with strict data segregation.
• Analytical, solution-driven mindset; education marketing experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Own data ingestion & pipeline architecture—connect and maintain API pipelines into Adverity; build Python connectors; architect scalable pipelines from source to dashboard.
• Own CRM integration—build reliable CRM data connections (Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot) into the warehouse.
• Own the data warehouse in BigQuery; design schemas, partitioning, and storage strategy for cost/performance.
• Own transformation & mapping—define modular, documented SQL pipelines in dbt/Dataform with consistent naming.
• Own CI/CD & data segregation—maintain GitHub Actions pipelines and enforce multi-client data isolation.
• Enable the reporting layer—create clean data views for Looker Studio dashboards and Google Sheets reports.
• Drive data quality—monitor pipelines, resolve API breaks, implement validation and auto-testing.
