Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery for data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD tooling, and DevOps workflows to empower data engineers.

You'll design and operate data pipelines with AWS Glue, Athena, S3, and MWAA, while strengthening security and observability across the platform.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, with at least 2 years of hands-on data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CloudFormation/CDK.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services: Glue, Athena, and S3 lifecycle and security features.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform and/or AWS CDK).
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalents.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs, Athena views, and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK).
• Own observability: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure SLA and fast incident response.
• Develop and maintain self-service DataOps tooling and templates for data pipelines.
• Manage container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, or Lambda) for data ingestion services.
• Operate workflow orchestration environments (MWAA / Airflow, Step Functions).
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale data ingestion and transformation.
• Enforce security best practices: Secrets Manager, IAM, network segmentation.
