Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation, while also performing manual and exploratory testing. This remote role requires coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust quality across our fintech platforms.

You’ll build, maintain, and optimize automated test suites, integrate tests into CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and rapidly identify and fix flaky tests. Experience with Playwright and WebdriverIO + Appium is essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation and testing
• Hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile testing

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Collaborate with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites
