Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also handles manual testing for desktop and mobile apps. Join a global, remote-first fintech team pushing the boundaries of digital finance.

You'll build and maintain automated tests, integrate into CI/CD, collaborate with developers, and perform exploratory testing on Electron/React Native apps across real devices. Experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and AI QA tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
