Job summary

Tether seeks an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation alongside manual testing. You will integrate tests into CI/CD, investigate failures, and ensure reliable test coverage across Electron, React Native, and web apps.

We value experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and Gherkin, plus familiarity with AI-assisted QA. Remote work is supported globally with strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines, e.g., GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered applications is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
